How to Register a Dog or Cat
Per city ordinance 4-2-1: Every Owner of a dog or cat over the age of six (6) months shall procure a license from the City Clerk. No household shall have more than two dogs and two cats over the age of six months. Pit bulls are prohibited.
To obtain a dog/cat license: Bring the one time $20 license fee and proof of current vaccination against rabies for each dog/cat to the City Clerk during office hours Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8AM to 4PM. Upon payment you will receive a metal tag stamped with the number of the license. The license tag shall be securely fastened to a collar or harness which shall be worn by the dog or cat for which the license is issued.
